We work in partnership with a range of education providers and businesses to support young people to raise aspirations and access opportunities to create the workforce of tomorrow. We deliver a range of exciting and innovative activities aimed at both young people and businesses to create opportunities for young people to understand the world of work.
We help young people to learn the necessary skills for a productive life and foster the development of an enterprise culture in schools and colleges. We forge better links between businesses and education providers, actively involving businesses in education provision.
Our service comprises three key elements:
Helping young people to develop vital employability skills to prepare for life after education.
- STEM Ambassadors programme (Devon and Cornwall) – through which volunteers from STEM businesses help to inspire young people through STEM-related careers advice, clubs, challenges and competitions.
- Big Bang South West – A variety of STEM focussed events across the region to enable young people to showcase their discoveries and interact with STEM businesses. This includes the regional fair which takes place in late June / early July every year.
Offering schools the opportunity to work alongside business professionals who can inspire and prepare young people for work. Our services here include; Enterprise Days, Activities for schools and Mentoring.
