CSW Group is delighted to be delivering a new Work Experience Programme for Year 10 students in school across the South West.

The programme is being funded by a partnership between the EEF, the Careers & Enterprise Company and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. The three organisations have committed to test different approaches to careers education to find out which are the most likely to boost young people’s chances of securing a job after school.

“Please carry on exactly as you are – an invaluable resource for supporting STEM in schools.”

Nigel, Young Engineers

All mainstream secondary schools across the South West* have been invited to participate, with 130 being offered places in either the delivery or control groups. The programme will run throughout the 2017-18 academic year and will provide young people and schools with a new approach to work experience – with a specific focus on STEM placements, that will include a ‘work preparation day’, applications, interviews and full briefing / de-briefing of the placement.

Additionally, CSW Group will be working with employers to support them to offer high quality work experience placements for young people, and enable their staff to fully engage. Through this, we hope to support employers who are not currently offering work experience to be able to participate.
